Sagita Mirjam Sunara (University of Split) presented a poster at the 27th Biennial Congress of the International Institute for Conservation, which was held in Turin, Italy, from 10th to 14th September 2018. The Congress brought together heritage professionals from over 50 countries to discuss and explore the topic of preventive conservation. Sunara presented the poster “Preventive Conservation in an Outdoor Sculpture Collection”, which she produced in collaboration with Neven Peko (Sisak Municipal Museum) and Ivana Miletić Čakširan (Monuments Care Office in Sisak, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia). The CAPuS team of the University of Split focuses on issues related to the preservation of outdoor sculptures, which also includes maintenance and preventive conservation.
A summary of the poster has been published in a special issue of Studies in Conservation, the international peer-reviewed journal for the conservation-restoration of historic and artistic work. The article is available from this link.
